Maureen Schwanke mainly oil exhibition "Retrospective" will be on display at the Heritage Arts Centre from April 2 - April 30. Maureen has been painting and sketching for over 50 years, although she's leaned towards more painting since the 1990's when she set up her own studio "Ukridge Studio" at her home in Arrow River. Maureen's unique style has attracted the eye of adjudicators at the Westman Juried Art Show where she has had 10 different paintings selected to be part of the Westman Travelling Art Gallery. In 2000, her submission to the Millenial National Conservation Art Exhibition was one of two from Manitoba which toured throughout Canada. Maureen also works in wool and her 100% Alpaca mitts and wool products can regularly be seen and purchased in the Gallery Gift Shop at the Heritage Art Centre.
